Sport Academics’ Awareness and Knowledge of Sustainability in Higher Education in Türkiye

It is widely accepted that sport plays a critical role in the achievement of sustainable development goals. The colleges, faculties, and universities have undertaken to educate students, future trainers, educators, managers, academic staff naturally significant impact on increasing awareness regarding sustainability issues. Therefore, this study, awareness, perception, knowledge working faculties factors affecting them are analyzed. For purpose, survey including total 19 questions designed measure level development, it answered by 366 faculty members all 75 Türkiye. results study point out vast majority academics at common, general understanding sustainability, but insufficient goals relationship between development. Furthermore, recognition seem be limited institutional level. However, also imply great respondents aware importance consider necessary improve themselves their courses accordingly. issues curriculum, layers institutions, implementing entire higher education system with projects, seminars, on-campus events recommended.
